3"(75mm) & 4"(110mm) Tangental flange couplings can be purchased separately. These are ideal for bottom drain pipework that needs to enter in an awkward spot.
How does it work? Dirty water from the pond enters the primary vortex, preferably by gravity flow, ant the swirling (vortex) action of the water encourages the large particulate matter (fish waste, leaves, etc..) to settle at the bottom of the vortex chamber where the waste collects. Periodically the accumulation of waste can be easily flushed away by simply opening a valve. .
